If you’ve ever dreamed of a Mediterranean getaway with breathtaking coastal views, colorful cliffside homes, and lively beach clubs, this is the place. The View That Takes Your Breath Away: Arriving in Positano
Arriving by boat from Ischia, we were greeted by Positano’s iconic cliffs plunging dramatically into the turquoise sea. The moment those vibrant pastel buildings came into view, I knew I was stepping into the Mediterranean dream I’d been longing for. The town, nestled into the hills, looks like something out of a painting—its beauty is even more captivating in person.

As you explore, the famous hills of Positano will certainly add to its charm, but be prepared for a little cardio! The winding, narrow streets curve up the cliffs, with each step offering a fresh perspective of this cliffside paradise. It’s a real-life living painting under the golden Italian sun.

Hiking the Sentiero degli Dei (Path of the Gods)
For those who love adventure, the Sentiero degli Dei—or Path of the Gods—is an absolute must. This 8km trail winds through the hills, offering jaw-dropping panoramic views of the Amalfi Coast, with vistas that will leave you speechless. Along the way, you’ll pass lemon groves, ancient shepherd paths, and get glimpses of the sparkling Mediterranean below.
The trail is challenging, so wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water, but trust me—the view at the top is worth every step!

Once you reach the top you're rewarded with truly breathtaking views the cutest little lemonade stand.

Positano’s Best Beach Clubs
No trip to Positano is complete without spending some time at its famous beach clubs. Here are a few you won’t want to miss:
Arienzo Beach Club
We started our beach club experience at Arienzo Beach Club, which is the perfect blend of luxury and laid-back Mediterranean charm. Only accessible by boat, this exclusive spot feels like your own private paradise. The restaurant here serves up some of the freshest, most delicious seafood, and with sunbeds just steps from the lapping waves, it’s hard to imagine a more perfect spot to relax. We loved it so much, we came back twice!
Tip: Arrive early to snag a prime spot by the water.

Villa Treville
Another gem is Villa Treville, perched on Laurito Beach. This club exudes glamour and exclusivity, attracting a more upscale crowd. The beach is quieter, with a chic and serene atmosphere that’s perfect for those looking to unwind in style. Whether you're sipping a cocktail or enjoying a meal with an unbeatable view, this spot is pure luxury.

Dining in Positano: An Epicurean Journey
Positano’s dining scene is just as spectacular as its views. Here are some of the best spots we experienced:
Franco's Bar
For pre-dinner drinks, don’t miss Franco’s Bar, which is located above the Le Sirenuse Hotel. This spot is a true gem, offering one of the best views in Positano. The atmosphere is effortlessly chic, with elegant decor and a relaxed vibe. The cocktail menu is innovative and made with the freshest ingredients, making it the perfect place to kick off a magical evening.

La Sponda at Le Sirenuse
For a truly unforgettable dinner, book a table at La Sponda at the Le Sirenuse Hotel. The restaurant is beautifully lit by hundreds of candles, creating an intimate, romantic atmosphere that’s hard to beat. From perfectly grilled seafood to delicate pasta dishes, every bite is a masterpiece. The wine list is carefully curated to complement the flavors of the Amalfi Coast, ensuring a dining experience that’s nothing short of spectacular.
Terrazza Celè
Another favorite was Terrazza Celè, where dining is a sensory experience. Set on a terrace overlooking the sparkling Mediterranean, the restaurant offers panoramic views that perfectly complement its mouthwatering dishes. The atmosphere is intimate and relaxed, with soft candlelight adding a romantic touch to the evening. The décor, with its lush greenery, makes it feel like a hidden gem, and the food—elegant yet comforting—is absolutely divine.
