Falkenberg Strandbad, located on Sweden's picturesque west coast, offers a distinctive blend of coastal beauty and Scandinavian design. This stylish hotel is set along a stunning sandy beach, providing guests with direct access to the shoreline and breathtaking ocean views. With its emphasis on relaxation and comfort, Falkenberg Strandbad stands out for its modern amenities, serene atmosphere, and attention to detail. In this review, we’ll explore what makes this seaside retreat a noteworthy choice for travellers seeking both tranquility and sophistication on Sweden's scenic coast.
The lobby at Falkenberg Strandbad feels less like a traditional hotel entrance and more like being welcomed into someone's stylish, seaside living room. As soon as you step inside, you're met with warm tones, plush sofas, and a cosy fireplace that immediately puts you at ease. The atmosphere is inviting, yet sophisticated, with a blend of Scandinavian design and coastal charm. It’s the kind of place where you could easily settle in with a cup of coffee and forget you’re checking into a hotel—it feels personal, comfortable, and effortlessly chic.
The hotel has four pools: an indoor pool for adults only, a deep outdoor pool, a shallow outdoor pool and a jacuzzi. All the pools are nice and warm and we spent time in all of them except the indoor one - which was the quietest one since the weather was incredible when we visited.
Falkenberg Strandbad is situated right on the beach, so you also have the option to go for a swim in the ocean.
We at dinner at Brasserie Famille, which is part of the resort and is the same venue breakfast is served in. Famille has a great atmosphere, and despite being a large restaurant, it feels cosy and relaxed.
I started with a delicious steak tartare, and had the fish for my main - both dishes were great.
Falkenberg Strandbad strikes the perfect balance between coastal relaxation and understated luxury. Whether you’re spending time by the beach or the pool club, or having dinner at one of the resort restaurants, the overall atmosphere is easy-going and comfortable. It’s a place where you can really switch off and enjoy the beauty of the Swedish west coast.
We really enjoyed our stay here and are planning to come back next year. My least favourite part about stay at Falkenberg Strandbad was the room itself, which was small and in need of renovation - but given how much there is to do at the resort we barely spent any time there!
