Travelling with kids: 20% fancy dinners, 30% beach, 40% breaking up sibling arguments, and 100% worth it.

My top tips for surviving travel with kids:

1. Skip the fancy hotels and get a villa with a pool. More relaxing for you and more fun for them
2. Go to the fancy restaurants - most are very accepting of kids and you'll actually enjoy yourself (bring a tablet just in case)
3. Go to the beach - a lot - nothing wears them out faster than digging in the sand and jumping in the waves
4. Accept that there will be fights and you will lose your cool more than once
5. Enjoy the magical moments, when the kids are actually playing nicely and you get to enjoy a glass of something sparkling in a magical location 🥂

🍽️ Where to Eat in Marbella 🌟

Save this before your next trip 🤍

🥢 Nobu Marbella - a total winner. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere great, and the service was flawless, Book it, dress up a little, order too much and enjoy! I loved the Wagyu nigiri and the salmon sashimi.

🥂 Brasserie Astoria - our other standout. Beautiful space, brilliant food, and vibrant energy. Order the Toast Astoria and the steak, where the sauce is cooked tableside.

🌴 La Petite Maison - gorgeous food and a lovely atmosphere, but the service didn't quite match the price tag, and the bill was steep even by Marbella standards. The setting is absolutely stunning though, it's part of the same complex as Nobu (Puerto Romano) but has a beach setting where Nobu faces the internal courtyard.

🌊 Spend your days in that famous crystal-clear water. It really is that blue. Bring the kids, bring the floaties, stay all afternoon.

🍝 For dinner, Paloma is a must. The pasta is some of the best we've had, and the atmosphere is warm, buzzy and just the right kind of lively for a family night out.

🏝️ And where to rest your head? Hyde Ibiza - relaxed luxury, brilliant for families, and the perfect base for it all.

An absolute must do activity if you find yourself on Ibiza is a day on a boat! 🛥
We had the absolutely best time out at sea for the day with the kids, snorkelling, paddle boarding and relaxing in the sun.
The water was crystal clear and we made five stops around Ibiza and Formentera. We had a champagne lunch on the boat and paddle boarded until we had blisters on our feet.
100/10 - highly recommend!

We've now visited all three Brasserie Astoria locations and I have to say this was my favourite! Amazing setting, great vibe, and fantastic food. I had the Toast Astoria as a starter and then the Råraka as my main - both were delicious. We also had the garlic bread and Joey had the eye fillet with Cognac sauce (made tableside). Would go back in a flash, highly recommended.

The setting was beautiful and the food was good (but not amazing). Service felt very rushed and not very personal. On the upside, the kids loved their food and licked their plates! 😋😂 Worth going but preferred Nobu.

We had:
❤️ Salmon sashimi - the most buttery, melt-in-your-mouth salmon I've ever had
Crispy rice with spicy salmon - really yum
Black miso cod - good, but not a standout, probably wouldn't get again
Wagyu Nigiri - amazing
Yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno - ok but not a favourite
Lobster tacos - yummy but the corner taco she'll was a bit heavy
New style sashimi - delicious

We left very full!

We loved the Cloud Forest Jurassic World Experience! The dinosaurs were so life like, the t rex totally freaked Freddie out 🦖 Highly recommend spending a morning here.

1. The Bank Hotel, Stockholm, Sweden - this is the place to go with your significant other - it's a truly romantic hotel with several restaurants and bars so you don't even have to leave the building
2-3. Bunker Bay, Western Australia - a magical with crystal clear water, stunning restaurants (our favourite was the Beach Café - look at that view!) 🌊
4-6. The Mulia, Nusa Dua, Bali - a stunning property with a private beach - this is one to take the family to, especially if you've got little ones! 🏝
7-8. Positano - need I say more? Probably the most romantic place on earth. Terrazza Celè is where you want to take your better half, the view and the food are 👌💯
9-10. Doha is a lovely destination for a long weekend. Highly recommend La Petite Maison (LPM) - amazing family friendly restaurant that would also be lovely for a romantic date!
11-12. Renee, Nice - gorgeous restaurant that is super family friendly, but again, it could also be a lovely romantic dinner date (choose a later sitting!)

Come with me for a weekend in beautiful Sydney! One of the most exciting and gorgeous cities in the world 🌟 Sydney really has it all, city vibes, beautiful beaches, amazing food... 💯 Highly recommend staying somewhere outside of the CBD, such as stunning Double Bay. You can easily get around with ferries, and we went to both Bondi beach (for a swim and lunch at Icebergs) and Manly beach (there had been multiple shark sightings so we only swam in the rock pool). The Australian Open is also known as "The Happy Slam" and it really lives up to its reputation! The day before it officially kicks off, there's a dedicated kids day which we love attending. There's so much to do at the Australian Open, from shows and games, to amazing dining and of course, world class tennis!

2. Costa Del Sol - love it here and we keep coming back. Friendly people, great food, awesome vibes
3. Singapore - visited for the first time this year and loved it! You can easily pack in a lot in a long weekend due to Singapore's small size. Don't miss Sentosa island and staying at Raffles is a must!
4. Nusa Dua, Bali - can't beat Nusa Dua for a chill family vacation, we loved it

The water here is so clear and the sand is super soft.

The water was the same temperature as a pool - beautiful swimming spot
3. Hamilton Island, Australia 🇦🇺
Hamilton island is paradise, the beach is gorgeous, but one avoid during jellyfish season! 🪼
4. Noosa, Australia 🇦🇺
Gorgeous, family friendly spot, it does get busy however, so avoid during school holidays
5. Mallorca, Spain 🇪🇸
Absolutely stunning beaches, but note you'll need a car to get to the best spots and it's very busy during peak season

The best beach clubs in St Tropez 🌟

There are lots of beach clubs in St Tropez, some are more party clubs (Verde, Indie, Shellona) and others are more chilled. Since we have two little kiddos in tow, my preference is for the more chilled out ones. The best ones are:
1. The iconic Club 55 - stunning spot where the restaurant serves up simple but well made dishes and you sit with your feet in the sand. If you want to swim after lunch the beach club is right next to the restaurant - basic sun beds on the whitest sand 🌟
2. Jardin Tropezina - this is a gorgeous beachside restaurant and beach club, with absolutely incredible food. I had a risotto with chanterelles with was 10/10, served with ice cold rosé 🌟

Too tips for visiting Monte Carlo, Monaco, with kids

1. Monte Carlo is very walkable. If you arrive by train, you step outside the station and you're smack bang in the middle of Monte Carlo. The train is very easy to catch from Nice, and is quick and affordable. 🚊
2. Visit the Private Car Collection of HSH Prince of Monaco. It's a large car museum, showing cars that are hundreds of years old, to space vehicles. Our kids loved it! 🚘
3. Have lunch at the legendary Café de Paris, which has been completely renovated and is now as stunning indoors as outdoors on the terrace. We had an amazing salmon tartar and a juicy steak with the best Bearnaise sauce ever 😋

📍Hjortviken, Sweden
We stayed at Hjortviken, Sweden for a couple of days to enjoy pure relaxation. Kids are only allowed in the outdoor pool, which is heated and pure perfection.
The food was 10/10, with the Club Room being my favourite restaurant- the Chantarelle Toast was 👌🌟

St Tropez! There's simply no place like it. The little fishing village surrounded by beautiful wineries, with an abundance of amazing beach clubs and restaurants (my top tips are Le Club 55 and Jardin Tropezina), beaches with white sand and crystal clear water.

The very best area to stay is central Cannes, we stayed in an Airbnb with a view over the Palais des Festivals and it was perfect, with all the major attractions and beach clubs within walking distance.

The best beach club for lunch is Plage Ondine, they have a partnership with Vilebrequin and the whole vibe is awesome (not to.mention the food - that truffle burrata foccacia is 👌)

The best beach club for spending the day at is Mademoiselle Gray or La Môme- they're right next to each other and they're both gorgeous. The water is crystal clear and so warm, and the music and general vibe is great!
♡
Cannes is great for running (should you be so inclined - I'm a running addicted so can't stop, even on holiday) - there are some great runs, towards Mandelieu or in the other direction along the beach promenade.
